Accountant

AWC Frac Technology is seeking a motivated and experienced accounting professional to join our Finance team in Conroe or Houston, Texas.
The accountant will report directly to the VP of Finance and will be responsible for the accounting function, including assisting with month end closing.
The position will require a high degree of accuracy with strong accounting fundamentals and will provide analysis and reports as needed.

Essential Job Functions Responsible for the integrity of the income statement and balance sheet.
Responsible for coordinating the accurate and timely completion of the financial month end.
Prepares and posts journal entries to the general ledger.
Evaluates financial statements and general ledger for errors and omissions and investigates the root cause of errors Reviews monthly balance sheet and profit and loss statements Reviews, redesigns and enhances the financial statements to ensure that the information reported properly reflects the company’s financial position and is useful to management.
Streamlines monthly closing procedures.
Manages Fixed assets in Fixed Asset System (FAS) and reconcile back to the P&L and balance sheet.
Assists with cash reconciliation process at each month end.
Assists with preparing 13-week cash flow forecast Assists with bank relationship and reporting requirements Coordinates financial processes and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data.
Assists with financial audits Assists with preparing board presentations and materials as needed Assists with due diligence for potential acquisitions Assist with ad hoc projects and research as needed.
Apply accounting policies and principles to accounting records and financial statements as well as ensuring proper level of internal control is maintained.
Works closely with AR and AP administrators to review and support those processes.
Process Accounts Receivables and Collections Process monthly Sales Tax and reconciliation.
Involves a great deal of organizing, work prioritization and related skills and/or a great deal of peer interface is necessary to properly complete tasks via teamwork.
Must be proactive and be able to work independently.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements 4 Year Degree Preferred 4-7 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role Profit and Loss Statements along with the Balance Sheet reconciliation experience required.
Manufacturing and Cost Accounting experience a plus Advanced skills in Excel required.
Avalara experience is a plus.
Visual (ERP) system is a plus.
Ability to work effectively with teams toward a common goal.
