Financial Controller

We have an exciting opportunity to lead the Accounting Team in our growing manufacturing operations in Conroe, Texas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to assume a leadership position in a dynamic manufacturing company .
With the planned retirement of the current incumbent in the summer of 2024, we are looking to hire a replacement in January 2024 to allow smooth transition.
*Responsibilities* * Provide strategic financial advice to the leadership team.
* Manage the month-end closing process.
* Manage cash flow.
* Supervise a team of 2 Accountants.
* Take a lead role in the implementation of a new ERP system * Work with CPA firm on information required for tax filings.
* Annual property tax filing and freeport exemption filings.
* Oversee business insurance renewal.
* Oversee employee benefit renewal.
* Enhance costing methodology and P&L reporting by product line.
* Enhance internal controls.
* Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
*Requirements* * 3 years’ work experience in a senior accounting role * Supervisory experience * Ability to use logic, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning skills.
* Exceptional knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) * Firsthand experience with software like Global Shop or other ERP system * Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables.
* Strong diligence and good analytical skills * Professional Accounting qualification and/or Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
