*Escrow Office Overview:*
Our Escrow Officers are a part of the file every step of the way making sure the files stay on track and walking the clients through every step of the process.
EO's are the bridge between the process and the outcome, ensuring the file stays within compliance from the contract, to the lender instructions and client expectations.
The EO guides the processors through any obstacles or questions they may come up against.
You provide the experience and positivity for the agents and clients, establishing the confidence they need that they are being taken care of by the most reliable team.
You juggle the many personalities and files that come in daily and keep everything moving forward in an organized fashion.
*Job Description:*
- Manage the real estate closing process, including compliance with real estate contracts, lender instructions, title insurance, company requirements and procedures, and other written instructions.
- Collaborate with the title department to resolve curative impediments such as legal descriptions, lot splits, vest, tax liens, bankruptcies, abstract of judgments, etc.
- Understand the escrow process to determine what steps need to be taken to transfer the title of a property.
- Prepare all closing documents necessary to ensure title insurance is issued at closing.
- Collect all taxes, HOA dues, and any delinquencies and/or principal and interest.
- Ensure all payoffs are collected, mailed, delivered, or wired per instructions.
- Assist clients and customers with closing-related questions.
- Verify all disbursements are paid correctly and in a timely manner.
- Confirm all funds are collected, all documents are accurate, signatures are collected, and acknowledgments are correct.
- Delegate and manage work of Escrow Assistants.
- Market new business, manage and develop client relationships.
- Correspond with builders, lenders, realtors, and attorneys as needed.
*Knowledge and Skills*
- Knowledge and Experience in Escrow Processing and Officer roles.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of RamQuest and Microsoft Office
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, grasp and apply new underwriting guidelines and real estate concepts, particularly in stressful and high volume situations.
- Detail-Oriented, professional, punctual.
- Closing room experience a plus
- Bilingual is a plus.
*Qualifications*
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have 2+ years of industry experience managing or executing the Escrow process.
- Notary Public or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Reliable transportation.
- Book of Business
*- 2 - 5 years as an Escrow Officer/ Closer preferred*
