What to Expect in the Role:
Accounting Responsibilities
Review work performed by team members to ensure accuracy, identify and resolve issues and ensure compliance with U.
S.
GAAP and corporate policies.
Supervise personnel in revenue, A/P, inventory, and fixed assets areas of the accounting department.
Assist with and review input of vouchers, invoices, reports, and other payables items.
Perform periodic review and analysis of inventoried assets across multiple operating locations.
Review invoices for fixed asset determination.
Schedule and supervise periodic inventory and fixed asset count and reconciliation.
Review general ledger reconciliations, including monthly bank reconciliations.
Review monthly accrual and other journal entries as needed for operations.
Close and Reporting
Prepare monthly operating reports detailing actual and forecasted results.
Conduct monthly cash flow forecasting.
Prepare and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepare annual budgets for all locations.
Coordinate and supervise audits of company’s accounts.
Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process across multiple locations.
Review company financial statements for accuracy and clarity.
Other
Creation and compliance of policies and procedures for segment.
Assist with development of operational and financial reporting, including review for accuracy.
Demonstrate a strong ability to communicate areas of accounting with operations.
Show a commitment to safeguarding the assets of the company.
Maintain high level of confidentiality for a private closely held company.
What We Will Be Needing From You:
Prefer proficiency or familiarity with JD Edwards or Hubble.
Results oriented with the ability to prioritize your workload while performing multiple tasks.
Detailed oriented in execution of work.
Adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate a high level of mental agility.
Strong business acumen and acute problem-solving skills.
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of utilizing Microsoft Word programs.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal skills), the ability to interact with all levels of management throughout the organization and the initiative to get the job done.
Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
Master’s degree is a plus.
CPA preferred.
Big 4 accounting experience a bonus.
Should have 5-10 years’ experience in all aspects of accounting.
Proven supervisory experience.
