The Full-Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Responsibilities Perform all bookkeeping activities, including but not limited to, recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining the general ledger.
Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of business.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely financial reports to management.
Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve any issues.
Manage and process payroll activities, including calculating employee hours, deductions, sales commissions, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Prepare tax returns for CPA, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Collaborate with CPA and tax professionals during any audits and tax filings.
Ensure all provided documentation is accurate and provided in a timely manner.
Hold monthly, quarterly and annual financial meetings, reporting to the Executive Team that would include Budget, P&L, Balance Sheet, any concerns, ideas on items that would help spur growth, etc.
Develop and implement efficient bookkeeping processes and procedures to streamline operations and improve overall financial management.
Provide support and guidance to management regarding financial decisions, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and legislation, ensuring compliance and incorporating necessary changes in bookkeeping practices.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion when handling sensitive data.
Qualifications Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
QuickBooks Desktop a must.
1-2 years of inventory control and experience with an inventory software a must have.
ADP or Paychex software a must have.
Proven work experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Professional certifications (such as CPA or CMA) are a plus.
In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping principles, practices, and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to Executive Team.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices in bookkeeping and financial reporting.
High ethical standards, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with discretion.
