Overview:
Collections Specialist
Summary: Perform standard Medical Collection functions in our Central Billing Office
Responsibilities:
Minimum 1 year experience in heavy medical collections experience
Ability to read and learn technical terms, as well as follow moderately complete instructions furnished in oral, written, diagram or schedule form
Strong organization skills, ability to effectively prioritize and possess time management skills
Strong customer service skills
Ability to learn, retain and develop new skills and concepts at a rapid pace
In possession of a “can-do”, team oriented mentality
Ability to successfully perform duties with minimal supervision (following the training period)
Ability to recognize potentially problematic situations and the reporting of such to Management
Monthly billing send outs to direct bill clients
Handle client accounts, past dues, billing errors, etc.
Qualifications:
Prior and/or existing experience in an analyst role.
Workers Comp background
IMS, Internet, e-mail and basic Word & Excel processing skills
This position is located in Montgomery
Preferred:
Medical Billing and Coding Certificate
