Senior Audit Associate

*About us* We are a growing, full-service CPA firm located in Lufkin, Texas.
We are looking for an experienced accountant for our audit department.
Our audit clients include governmental entities, for profit businesses, and non profit organizations.
There is excellent potential for advancement.
- Responsible for all phases of the audit and attest processes - planning, fieldwork, reporting - Evaluate financial statements and account balances for accuracy and compliance using standard auditing procedures - Complete audit workpapers/memoranda documenting audit tests and findings - Preparation of financial statements and other supporting schedules - Evaluate internal controls; identifying potential areas of non-compliance and/or areas for improvement - Collaborate with other staff members to efficiently complete the audit - Identify areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate them Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Master's degree, preferred - CPA certification preferred - Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting or audit - Strong knowledge of FASB and GASB (preferred) - Proficiency in using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel and Word - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.
00 - $90,000.
